Accessibility Stock Image - perFORM[D]ance House

The The perFORM[D]ance House has embraced Universal Design standards to meet the needs of audiences of all abilities. For example, the cabinet and counter heights have been lowered, toe-kicks exist throughout the house, and the addition of ramps creates seamless transitions between levels. These design features are especially appropriate for handicapable and ageing populations. Accessibility to knowledge about sustainable design is equally important. By establishing outreach programs in our community, educating people through our website, and holding lectures about affordable/sustainable practice; we are taking an extra step towards a responsible way of thinking.

How does this affect us?
