Core

Core Stock Image - Interior Rendering

The centrally located core of the perFORM[D]ance House minimizes energy losses, conserves materials, and houses all programmatic elements to allow for an open floor plan. The open floor plan facilitates social interaction, natural ventilation and day lighting, which minimizes the need for electricity. Energy collected by our solar panels travels a very short distance to reduce energy losses and increase cost savings. This makes for a more efficient, more affordable system.

How does this affect us?

Miami

If every single-family household in Miami applied natural ventilation and day-lighting to its full potential, electricity would be reduced by 30%.

U.S.A

If 60% of all U.S. single-family homes applied efficient use of space, as well as material reduction, 67 million homes would contribute to more affordable systems.

World

Approximately 1.1 billion people across the world are living in inadequate housing conditions in urban areas alone. Affordable and efficient housing is highly needed.
